East-West Teacher Research Forum

This community forum is for teachers interested in Piano Basics research. It is a communication vehicle for sharing videos and information.

The Mission of the Forum is to:

• Expand awareness of how children learn
• Develop teacher communication and education via the internet
  
• Provide resource for teachers to research Piano Basics Technique
• Provide an invitation only forum to view lessons and performances

The components of the forum are currently comprised of:

The East-West Teacher Research Blog which is the first research place on the forum for teachers to communicate about teaching Piano Basics through discussions, videos and links. Invited members can read and comment on the posts. Interested teachers can request to also be an author. As an author, they can contribute writings, upload videos, or attach links to lessons with Dr. Kataoka and other Basics teachers, great performances, etc.

The Core Twinkle Lesson video blog are beginning lessons taught by Leah Brammer. It is a sequential posting of the lessons which will be updated weekly with the first lessons posted from September 9, 2009. This blog is for teachers, and also for parents and students to view their lessons.

The Core Studio Blog has writings including the posts which correlate with the Twinkle lessons.

The Core Studio Video Blog has a collection of videos of students performing at all levels.

The East-West Teacher Research Blog and the Core Twinkle Lesson Video Blog can be viewed only by members. Suzuki Teachers can become members for free by request. Please send a request to Leah Brammer if you are interested.
